“The School for Good and Evil.” by Soman Chainani

The School for Good and Evil by: Soman Chainani is a really good book! This is a fantasy book. The setting for this book is in the Endless Woods, where fairy tale characters live. It also takes place in Gavaldon for part of the book. In the first book in this series Agatha and Sophie get taken out of Gavaldon, and get put in the School for Good and Evil. Agatha gets put into the School for Good, and Sophie gets put into the School for Evil. Both kids think that the Shool Master made a terrible mistake. Sophie is on the evil side, and wants Tedros the Prince, but he is on the good side. Agatha just wants to go back to Gavaldon, so she can see her cat Reaper. Sophie and Agatha will have to work together, but both kids have times where they really want to stay at their schools. Sophie hates her roommates, Anadil, Dot, and Hester, and they hate her. She likes pink, and despises black, and black is their favorite color. Agatha’s roommates left her as soon as she saw her, because she despises pink, loves black, and looks like a witch with pale skin, black hair, and she even dresses in black. During this series, Sophie and Agatha will find out where their true hearts lie, are they truly good, or truly evil? This book makes you want to read the whole series, and you will be pulled in so much that you will be yelling at the characters in your head! Read this book now!

  1. Looks like a good series to start. Friendships and roommates can be tough at times. I can’t wait to see how you like the next book. Mom
