Hello, Universe

I’m reviewing Hello, Universe by Erin Entrada Kelly. This book was the Newberry award winner this year, and it truly deserved it. The book was about the realization of friendship and the places it could get, if you just reached out. The setting was very stressful and really made you want to continue reading the book. It was suspenseful.
The sorry takes place from many different points of view, but mostly from Virgil’s. Virgil is a very quiet person who lives with many extroverts, and he really only feels like his Lola understands him. The story also takes place from three other points of view, Chet “the bull” Bullens, Kaori Tanaka, and Valencia Somerset. Virgil goes missing from a prank gone wrong from Chet. And now Valencia, Kaori and Kaori’s little sister Gen must go find him!
I liked many different things about this story one was that you could really put yourself in their shoes. You really did feel what they were going through in that moment. Another thing I liked was the mood the author used. She used a very calm but stressful tone, which made the story all the more interesting. Overall I think this was a wonderful book and I definitely recommend you read it! Thank you for reading!
