All Leo Story’s

Leo

I woke up. Paralysed with fear, no sense of direction and no memory. Voices in my head keep saying, ” turn around, call for help,” but I couldn’t. My throat was like the hottest fire was on my tongue as I trudged deeper into the forest. SNAP, I turn around and right behind me is a monster, two times the size of me with blood dripping from his claws and mouth, a axe in his hand, and bones littered under him; with a shrill scream he yells,” Hephaestus shall die!” And with that he sprints towards me. The only thing I could think to do was run.

I still don’t know were I am, what that thing was and about a dozen other things. The only thing I could remember was my name, Leo. While I’m running I feel around a belt on my waist, I felt something cold and sharp in my back pocket. The instant I touched it my body was engulfed in flames. The flames must of triggered my memory because I remembered one more thing, Hephaestus is my dad! I turn around and face the blood thirsty beast, ” Hephaestus is my dad!” I yelled, I jumped and grabbed the demons leg with a grip that could crack bones. Instantly, the monster yelped in pain . His leg was on fire, burning off flesh and bones. The flames on my body extinguished as I watch in horror as the monster falls and died a slow and painful death.

I continued on into the forest until I reached a small hill with a big bold tree on the very top. Almost out of breath I scaled the hill, getting to the top. I froze, my memory clicked as I saw a huge camp in a valley surrounded by trees. I remembered one more thing, Camp Half Blood.

Leo 2

I sat by the door of the Hephaestus house, still wondering what happened. A girl about my age with blonde hair and blue eyes walked towards me. She sat down next to me,
” I can’t believe that Hera would erase your memory too, I mean, after Percy and Jason’s memories were erased I thought she’d was done with that nonsense.” I had no clue what she was was talking about. After she left l looked up. The moon was brighter than the sun, looking down on me, smiling as if it knew what I forgot. I stood up and walked into the cabin,”Leo!” Everyone in the cabin jumps up and down with delight, even though I lost my memory of them, this made me happy.

The news spread quickly that I was back and that I lost my memory, everyone was trying to show me things that may have triggered my memory, but nothing did. The line of people soon dissipated, sadness on everyone’s face like there dog or parent just died. Only a couple of things triggered my memory, a piece of the Argo 2, Percy, Jason, and Piper. I didn’t know what to do, so I laid on my bed, and cried.

Leo 3

I slept horrible. It was like sleeping on a sword, then add some heat and you get the general idea. As I sat up in my bed, yawning, I had some time to think: who was I, why was I here, and if I would ever get my memory back.

When I got to the mess hall, Percy and Annabeth walked over to me and started eating.” Do you remember Calypso?” Calypso. The only name I could remember when I found myself in the forest, but at that time I didn’t know what it meant, just that it was important to me. “Yes,” I said softly,”I must see her.” I didn’t know we’re she was or who she was, but I knew that I needed to see her.” I remember something,” I said,” after I crashed into Gaea, I woke up on the back of Festus, flying over the sea. I got to her island and landed on the beach. She was there, waiting for me. And we both got on Festus and left.” All of them looked at me thinking about what to do.”ROAR!” “Something’s at the border!” Percy yelled,”Leo!” I looked at him,”Time to ignite.”

Leo 4

I ran as fast as my legs could carry me. Many of the campers were running away with the injured and dead. With scarred memory’s in there eyes. When we got to the border, a fire was blazing bright red. A army of monsters were banging on the border. Most of the campers were fighting them off. Me and Percy joined the fight. I Lit myself up and set the monsters a blaze, hitting them left and right. Percy and the others helped too, shooting the monsters with arrows and cutting them to pieces. Soon the monsters fled and we cheered. Percy had a stern look on his face and looked at me. He motioned me to follow. Something was wrong.

We ran through the cheering crowd and went into the medical wing. What I saw there would scar me for the rest of my life. There were many people running around as fast as they could, cleaning up blood and covering up the ones who had died. But the thing that scarred me the most was that I recognised some of the faces of the dying and the dead. Lying there motionless, some with smiles and relived that they didn’t have to go through this thing called life. Percy and I walked over to one of the beds in the back. Laying there is the girl that came up to me when I first got to the camp… Annabeth.

“Percy!” She spoke out with extreme choke in her throat.
“Don’t speak, it will only hurt more.” Percy softly said as he pulled up a chair,he turned to me,”go get some rest, it was a long day.” I nodded and was on my way out. I took one look back and say Percy stroking her head. I got back to the cabin and thought about what I did today, fight monsters and take care of Annabeth . I decided that the best thing to do was to get some rest.

Leo 5

“Leo… Leo… Leo!” the person interrupting my dream yelled.
“W-what?” I questioned back
“Chiron wants to see us.” At that point I could see who it was. The son of Poseidon was gazing down on me.
“Ok.” I said back. I got up and changed into my clothes. A brown t-shirt and blue jeans with a work belt on my hips. I walked out of the cabin and the sun hit me,it was a very hot day, it felt like… one-thousand degrees outside! My eyes adjusted and I saw Percy standing by the door.
“You ready?”
“Ready as I’ll ever be.”
“Let’s go.”

We didn’t talk much on the way there, just looking around the camp. There wasn’t a lot of movement, but some campers were still cleaning up from yesterday. That reminded me of someone.
“How’s Annebeth?” I asked.
“She was cut bad around the side. I stayed there all night to make her feel better, and I brought her medicine for the pain. She had some nectar too, but the cut was very bad. It will take awhile to heal.”
Do you know why we’re going to Chiron?” I said.
“Not a clue.”

When we got to Chiron, he was walking around in his centaur form. He motioned for us to come into his office, and then motioned for us to sit down, and we did.
“Do you know why I called you here?”
“No.” Was our answer.
“Well, it has to do with the attack yesterday. I was going threw the rubble, and all of the monsters seemed to have the same thing on them- This.” He pulled out a emblem with the symbol of Gaea on it.
“Gaea.” Percy said,” does that mean she’s back…but that doesn’t make sense. It would take at least 10 millennia for her to come back.”
“Oh, she’s not back…but her minions are. That’s why I called you here. I’m going to send you, Leo, and Annebeth, when she gets better, on a quest.”

We left the room, stunned, and parted ways. Percy said that he was going to tell Annebeth the news. The rest of the week was a blur. I was on border patrol, played some capture the flag, checking on Percy and Annebeth, trying to get my memory back, and a whole bunch of other things. All of us were just waiting for the quest. Soon, the day came. Everyone wished us farewell, we got some weapons and we were on our way.
“Are you ready.” Percy yelled over the noise.
“No.” I said.
“Then let’s go!” He said, and we walked away. I looked back at the camp thinking that this might be the last time I see it.

Chris Scott Story’s

SECRETS

Did you finish your homework?” I asked Rebecca as we walked to school.

“Of course I did, you know me.” Rebecca replied,” but that vocabulary packet from Mrs.Smith, I just couldn’t finish it, with karate going on, and our date next week, I just can’t wait!” I smiled at my girlfriend as we entered the front door to Millsburo High school, a school for orphans.

“FIRE!” The students yelled as they ran out of the school, and into the smoke filled air outside.

I pulled Rebecca into the nearest classroom while a burst of flame engulfs where we were just standing.
“Can you hear that?” I said
“Chris! This is no time for your jokes!”
“But the fire, it’s talking to me.” I dozed into a trance, ignoring everything she said.
“Chris,” said the fire,” Find your parents, their the only ones that have the secrets. Their somewhere in London, England… go find them!”

We woke up on a bench, somewhere in France,( I could tell by the way people dressed) around 10p.m, I tried to wake up Rebecca but she was out cold. I’ll get answers tomorrow. I thought, as I laid back down and go to bed.
“Wake up!” Screamed Rebecca,
“I’m awake! What is it?” I exclaimed back.
“Where are we?” She said.
“Looks like France,” I told her,” we need to get to London, and fast!”

“But why?” I told her all that I knew, about the fire, and my parents, and that we needed to get to London. I noticed that our backpacks made the trip too.
“Do you have any money in your backpack?” I said.
“Yes,” she pulled out some money and started counting.”40 dollars.”
“Ok, let’s buy some supplies and then take a subway to London.”
“Ok, but let’s stick together.” So half of the day we spent conserving our money, but not without tasting some sweet pastries!

“Rebecca, don’t look, there is a man behind us, he’s been following us the whole time.” She quickly turns around,(Completely ignoring my directions) then pulled me into the nearest store,”Chris,” she said breathy,” he has a gun!”

“It’s ok, the subway is right over there, let’s sprint and we’ll lose him in the crowd.” We quickly ran into the street and down the subway. As we payed for our tickets to London I looked back and see the man in the crowd approaching us with evil in his eyes. We ran into the train and lost him… Until London.

We got out of the train and walked by some homeless guys around a fire.”Chris,” the fire said, “your parents will be in front of Big Ben, go.”

“Rebecca, the fire just told me that my parents will be right in front of Big Ben, let’s go!”
“you are crazy” she said as we ran to Big Ben as fast as we could, dodging citizens and cops. Two adults stopped us In front of Big Ben,” hello son,” they said to me,” hurry, underground!” A big hatch opens under us And we fell into darkness.

I woke up in a dark room, my parents sat beside me and told me the secrets to all of humanity, and what can control them.

“Son,” they say,” You are a spy.”
“What does that mean?” I questioned.
“The fire, those are agents around the world, and you were teleported by our tech staff, and you’re in charge of them.”
“When will I see you again?”
“Soon.” Then they just got up, and left.

Who would keep someone in that much suspense?

“So,” Rebecca said, “will some fire whisk us away?”

“No.” I turned around to see the man with a gun pointing it right at my chest,”Give me the secrets or else!” He said in a raspy voice.
“Never!” I yelled at him,
“Then the secrets will die with you!” Then a huge fire came out of nowhere and engulfed the man while he shot one bullet, then disappeared. I didn’t feel any pain so I thought that he missed, but he didn’t.” Rebecca!” I cried, ” why did you do that!” Her bright blue eyes glistening with tears, as the fire came back she told me,
“Chris, I did it, because…” She didn’t get a chance to say that it was part of her job. Her head roled back in my hand,”No!” The fire whisked me away.

I opened my eyes, sitting in front of the burnt down school, but nothing mattered, because the only person I loved… Was dead.

MISSING

The bullet didn’t hit me? I heard the sound but no pain was felt. I look were Rebecca was standing, “Rebecca!” I ran to her side, her hands covering her chest. “Why did you do that?!” Her blue eyes glistening with tears,”I did it–because…” She never got to say that it was all part of the plan. Her head went limp in my arms,”No!!” I shouted as the fire whisked me away.

One year later…

My parents headquarters was a nice, big, comfy place. Filled with gadgets and buttons galore. Nice cobblestone design outlined the walls, with paintings of former agents and spy’s. After Rebecca died, I didn’t know what to do with my life , so I joined my parents in the spy business. We caught up on like what I liked and what I did in my spare time, so far life is pretty good.
“What is that?” I pointed to a blinking dot on the tracking map.
“It looks like one of our trackers.” My mom said,” it is coming from New York.” The light started changing color, from light red to more of a green colour, then it showed a tiny white R in the middle of the dot.
“It can’t be!” My mom exclaimed.
“What is it?” I questioned.
“Chris,” my dad butted in, “when we saw you under Big Ben, we put trackers on both of you. We are here, in Louisiana,” my dad pointed to the state on the map.” So it can’t be your tracker.”
“So what your saying is–”
“Yes,” my mom said,”Rebecca is alive.”

MISSING PART 2

My brain went into an overload. I stood there in silence, trying to process all of that information at once.
“She is the only other person who knows the secrets ,” my mom said,”the man will go for her.” She pointed to the map.”New York.” I said in a daze. “That is where your first mission will be.” My dad stated,”but first, you’ll need some gadgets.” He walked up to the left wall and pushed a button on his wristband. The wall contracted, and slid to the side. Left there was a big room with guns and other special gadgets that I was about to find out about.

“This one,” my mom said as she walked into the room and took down a watch,”can project a laser that can cut threw any object.” “This,” my mom said as she pulled down a nice pistol,”is a black Tac-45 with laser sight and fmj.” She set them on the table and kept going.

She went threw a few more gadgets: one that allows you to breath under water, one that can blind the enemy, another Tac-45, and the last one,the most interesting of all. “This right here,” me mom said as she took down some keys,” are the keys to your new car.”

I couldn’t believe it! My own car! A secret garage door opened up to reveal a green Apollo with aerodynamic features. My dad tossed me the keys,”It’s all yours.” My parents smiled as I walked up to the car and pushed the unlock button on the keys. The doors swung open,”Hello master Scott.” The car said in a British accent,”are you ready for your first mission?”

MISSING PART 3

“Sorry about my manners,” the car said,”my name is Erving Von Drake, or Erving for short.” I look at the car, stunned that it could talk and said,”OK Erving, I think I’m ready.”
“Good, now hop in.” My parents looked at me in a proud look like I was going to college. I gave them a hug goodbye and got in Erving. His engine revved up and A hatch opened up on the other side. I was off on my first mission.

The car trip was about two minutes. I looked around,”Erving, where are we going?”
“To your jet of course.” Right then I saw it. The bright white winged plane got me hooked. Erving stopped in front of the plane and I got out.”What about you?” I questioned.
“Don’t worry about me, watch.” I stood back I aw as Erving the car turned into Erving the pen! “Click the top three times if you want me to turn back.” I nodded and climbed up the stairs to the plane.

I got my first look when I got to the top of the stairs,”Wow.” Was all that could come out of my mouth. It was everything I could imagine. There was a dining area with expensive drinks and food. There was a lot of room to walk around in. The floors were the softest carpets I had ever felt. And the seats, oh the seats! They were comfy leather with a cushy interior.”who’s flying this thing!” I yelled.
“Auto pilot!” Erving yelled back.”here we go!”

MISSING PART 4

The flight took a long time, which gave me some time to think about what has happened in the last few weeks: the fire, the agency, the talking car in my pocket. I guess I dozed off a little bit… Well a lot. I slept through the whole flight, but sometimes I would get up and walk around, considering the space that the plane had. Me and Erving didn’t talk that much because I thought it was weird talking to a pen/car/whatever else he could turn into. I bet he thought it was weird talking to a human like myself from my pocket. I guess what I’m trying to say is… I got some time to relax. For the first time since the fire, I actually got some time for myself.

“Master Scott,” I woke up and lifted my head, expecting to see a person, then I remembered… The pen. I reached into my left pocket and fount my hands around a cold, smooth cylinder and held it up to my face,”we are going down for departure, you should gather up our equipment for landing.”
“Ok, I’ll start packing up.” I shuffled through my ” equipment” shoved all I could in my bags.
“What is the weather?” I asked my all knowing thing named Erving.
“A cool 67 degrees with light wind.” He responded back. I slipped on my jacket and waited for the plane to land.

I looked down at my phone on an airport bench, searching it for the tracker. I clicked on the little icon that was the tracker and compared it to mine. “Twenty one minutes away,”I said to Erving,”let’s get driving.”

I was ready. Ready for whatever would come. It didn’t matter if there were a hundred obstacles in my way, I will get to her, I had to.
” approaching target.” Erving said as we pulled up to a warehouse on the side of a small road. I sprinted out of the car and grabbed my gun of my side, I ran up to the door and shot the padlock open, and flight the door aside. There she was, tied up in the corner with a little light from the hole in the ceiling. She saw me, and panic was in her eyes, she was trying to tell me something, so I ran up and pulled the strip of her mouth. She gasped for air, and with a small, scratchy voice, she said,”look out.” Those small words made me spin around… and I saw him, the man in black.

MISSING FINALE

5 years. That’s all it takes for my family to leave me, and come back crazy. And now they expected me to do something I couldn’t do, something I wouldn’t even think of doing, something so heartbreaking that If I did it then I’d kill myself, and I would do it in a few moments, very little time left. Very little time.

Two more people emerged from the shadows, accompanying the man in black, I stepped back in shock.
“Rebecca..what’s happeni”
I felt a smooth, cold, metal barrel against my head.
“I’m sorry, but I have to do this.” She said in a weeping tone. I turned around and backed away from the weapon, but I felt my back touch the wall.
“When you got shot in London.. That was all part of your plan, wasn’t it?” I questioned, but she was to panned to tell the truth.
“Ddon’t do this.” I stuttered.
“I have to.” I saw tears streaming down her eyes, I could tell she didn’t want to do this, she was being forced to. I looked over at the man in black and his friends. The hey stepped closer to me and Rebecca, and I could see there faces. I recognised them, but I couldn’t remember where I had seen them before. Then I did. It was a horrifying conclusion that I couldn’t believe… It was Rebecca’s family.

“Bbut how? Rebbecca said that you were kkilled in a car accident!” I stared at her in disappointment, but all she could do was keep the gun raised and look away.
“Well, you were mistaken.” Rebecca’s father said,”allow me to introduce myself. I am Jacob, and you are about to die.”

This was torture for Rebecca, I could tell. See couldn’t make eye contact with anyone in the room, she would just stand there and let her tears fall like my blood once she, if she shot me. If. That’s the only word that could save someone’s life, I didn’t even think I would be that lucky.
“ I’m so sorry!” She cried out.
“Don’t worry,” I said as comforting as possible,” this isn’t your doing.” She cried even more. And pulled the trigger. My heart stopped, not because she shot me there, but because she had just broken it. At first it was shocking, but then the pain kicked in and I fell on one knee. Blood covered my chest and hands as the second knee gave in. I could hear Rebecca’s screams as I fell on my back. She ran up to me and kissed me, as if she thought it would take away what she had done. Take away all the pain she had inflicted, but she and I knew that it wouldn’t. I could feel her tears rolling down her face on to mine. Blood filled my mouth, but I managed to get a sentence out,
“ it’s okay.” Then my vision went black.

I stood over him and cried like I had never cried before. I pointed the gun to my head.”I couldn’t live with this.” I thought, and pulled the trigger. I heard the the metal clank as I pulled the trigger, but no words came out. Nothing saying that I can finally rest, Nothing saying that I didn’t have to live with it anymore, Absolutely Nothing. “They must of thought of this.” The voice in my head said. A chloroform covered cloth was put around my mouth. As I was fading away, I thought of some of his last words, “it isn’t your doing, this isn’t your doing, this isn’t youuuuu…”

I hope you guys enjoyed these suspenseful stories. I haven’t told anyone anything so if you are reading this, you will get a first look at my new series,”Stranded.” You may be wondering what it is about, well, you just read what it is about. All of your favorite characters will be back in this sequel that is mostly about Rebecca and her family, also about some of the other spy family’s! I hope you keep on read this series! Who will survive?

Rhino

His body was as hard as rock
And strong
And gray,
He ran through the savannah
He turned,
And he flipped his head at a lion
Who was looking for a snack.
I saw a long, sharp, deadly horn,
And a muscular Body.
And eyes like death itself,
Strong and fast.
Then out of the bushes
With that horn
Stabbing it through the lion
Lithely,
Leisurely,
He ran-that strange beast.
Strong,hard,gray
Part lion, part wolf,
Part neither- for his blood was cold.

I wrote this poem that was inspired by “The Shark,” by Edwin John Pratt.

Baseball Poem

Baseball
BY Gail Mazur

The game of baseball is not a metaphor
and I know it’s not really life.
The chalky green diamond, the lovely
dusty brown lanes I see from airplanes
multiplying around the cities
are only neat playing fields.
Their structure is not the frame
of history carved out of forest,
that is not what I see on my ascent.

And down in the stadium,
the veteran catcher guiding the young
pitcher through the innings, the line
of concentration between them,
that delicate filament is not
like the way you are helping me,
only it reminds me when I strain
for analogies, the way a rookie strains
for perfection, and the veteran,
in his wisdom, seems to promise it,
it glows from his upheld glove,

and the man in front of me
in the grandstand, drinking banana
daiquiris from a thermos,
continuing through a whole dinner
to the aromatic cigar even as our team
is shut out, nearly hitless, he is
not like the farmer that Auden speaks
of in Breughel’s Icarus,
or the four inevitable woman-hating
drunkards, yelling, hugging
each other and moving up and down
continuously for more beer

and the young wife trying to understand
what a full count could be
to please her husband happy in
his old dreams, or the little boy
in the Yankees cap already nodding
off to sleep against his father,
program and popcorn memories
sliding into the future,
and the old woman from Lincoln, Maine,
screaming at the Yankee slugger
with wounded knees to break his leg

this is not a microcosm,
not even a slice of life

and the terrible slumps,
when the greatest hitter mysteriously
goes hitless for weeks, or
the pitcher’s stuff is all junk
who threw like a magician all last month,
or the days when our guys look
like Sennett cops, slipping, bumping
each other, then suddenly, the play
that wasn’t humanly possible, the Kid
we know isn’t ready for the big leagues,
leaps into the air to catch a ball
that should have gone downtown,
and coming off the field is hugged
and bottom-slapped by the sudden
sorcerers, the winning team

the question of what makes a man
slump when his form, his eye,
his power aren’t to blame, this isn’t
like the bad luck that hounds us,
and his frustration in the games
not like our deep rage
for disappointing ourselves

the ball park is an artifact,
manicured, safe, “scene in an Easter egg”,
and the order of the ball game,
the firm structure with the mystery
of accidents always contained,
not the wild field we wander in,
where I’m trying to recite the rules,
to repeat the statistics of the game,
and the wind keeps carrying my words away

This is a long poem about my favorite sport, Baseball. This poem shows the true way of Baseball. It brought me back to when I was young and went to my first Baseball game.

The Alamo is the most famous historic site in Texas. This old Spanish mission has a lot of history to learn about, and to become apart of.
