Cold Weather is NOT for Soccer

Posted on

Lately the temperature has been very cold and almost freezing. Tomorrow the high is 49°F (9.4°C) and the low is 34°F (1.1°C). The worst part, I had soccer practice tonight (the season is over but we have practice until the tournament.). My mom had me wear 4 layers (winter coat for negative temperatures included). This weather needs to improve so I can play soccer enjoyably, or it needs to snow (no justification). Anyways, not many people on my soccer team showed up today, seven out of sixteen people with me included showed up today.

Hopefully, this cold weather will blow over in a few days, but if it doesn’t I am open for snow. During the night it is supposed to get down to 21°F (-6.1°C) but with no precipitation. The snow will have to wait, for now I will be happy with some heat.

Last Game

Today we had the last game of the fall soccer season. Our team played well, and the final score was either a tie or a win. This is where it gets a little iffy, the other team had 12 players on the soccer field (instead of eleven 11) while they were scoring.

I am not sure if the referees noticed the extra player. I didn’t actually count the number of players or notice anything strange, and I am not sure if anyone other than my coach saw 12 players on the field.

When the referees went to get signatures from the coaches it seemed like the referees were having a real conversation with the coaches so maybe they were talking about the questionable goal. It may be wishful thinking but we might have won the last game of the season.

The final score for the game was either 1-1 or 1-0. Win or lose we ended the season with a nice game. I can’t wait to see what we will do next season.
