I recently got a betta fish. Her name is Shelly. She reminds me of a seashell.
She has grown quite a bit since when I got her. The first night I had her and fed her I gave her a pellet. The pellet was too big for such a small fish, so we gave her fish flakes (which are messier than pellets). After about a week or so we switched her back on to pellets, and she can actually swallow them easily now.
The strange thing about Shelly is that she hasn’t tried the plastic fish leaf hammock in her bowl. My other fish have slowly started to use it, but she hasn’t even swam closely over it yet. Maybe she will start using it after a few more weeks. You will be seeing more of Shelly on my blog in the near future.
