The Circle by Dave Eggers is about a girl-Mae Holland, who finds herself working for a powerful group that controls technology and social media. The company convinces her that secrets are all lies after one incident where she steals a kayak and is caught on camera.
While the company, the Circle, grows bigger, they introduce SoalSearch, which is a program that can track anyone, anywhere, in less than twenty minutes. This program causes quite a few problems with Mae.
I think this book is really enthralling. Although it can drag and get quite boring at some points, the book brings up an excellent point that I think could help us in the present world. Having technology access our data can benefit us, although there is drawbacks.
This book is full of events that each dramatically change the book. I recommend this book for advanced readers because it has difficult comprehension and sophisticated language.
