I read The Fifth Wave by Rick Yancey last year when I was in sixth grade.
It is about how humans almost got extinct by “aliens” who caused earthquakes, diseases, and other terrible things to get rid of the human race.
The main character, Cassie, gets separated from her parents. Then, she also gets seperated from her brother and is determined to get him back. When she is looking for her brother, she runs into many obstacles and has to get over them.
I think this was a great book. Some parts were kind of boring, but most of it was great. I stayed up all night trying to finish the book. I haven’t seen the movie yet, but I really want to. Some people have told me it is a good movie, and some people have told me it is a bad movie. The Fifth Wave is a great book and I definitely suggest reading it.
