1. The Alamo
The Alamo has been a big part of Texas history ever since 1836. A very memorial battle took place here as we fought for our independence against Mexico. Unfortunately we lost the battle, but it will always be remembered for it was one more step towards our independence. The Alamo is a fascinating historical place to learn about our Texas history.
2. The San Antonio Boardwalk
The San Antonio Boardwalk is an amazing place to experience the wonderful city of San Antonio, Texas. With restaurants, shops, music, and river rides, the Boardwalk is a great place to spend your time.
3. Moody Gardens
Moody Gardens on Galveston Island is a great place to visit if you ever go to Galveston. With 3 different fascinating pyramids,(including the aquarium one, the rain forest one, and the theater) you will never be bored.
I’m excited for Spring Break!
As everyone probably knows already, I love to sing. I have such a passion for singing, that it can pretty much get me through anything. Although, I don’t really feel comfortable singing by myself in front of people. But while I’m by myself, it’s like I’m in another world. The power of music and lyrics means something to me. When the artist describes something with such emotion, especially when they are singing about something that I have experienced or am experiencing, it really gets to me. Singing helps me get through life, the good and the bad. It’s my passion.
How do I feel about blogging? Honesty, I probably will not blog in my future. It is cool for English and school, but I don’t really like writing and then publishing for everyone to see. It also seems weird to write about my life and stuff. Blogging for English is cool, I guess. You can write an assignment and everyone can see your good work, but it is not something that I really enjoy.
Obviously, we have a three day weekend and I am going to Oklahoma. My grandfather lives up there and owns a treefarm, and many acres of land. He lives in a cabin, my dad and his brothers built, when they moved to Oklahoma. Although, it is in the middle of nowhere and it takes a hour to get to any other civilization, and the phone serves is horrible, I do enjoy going up there, wandering around in my own thoughts, and taking in the peaceful scenery.
