What’d you think of when you hear the word mask? The Phantom of the Opera, Halloween, or Mardi Gras? Well, there are many different ways that a person can wear a mask
Some masks are literal, which means people cover their faces with a mask. One good example could be Halloween, where people wear masks to become monsters, ghouls, or superheroes. People can wear literal masks to hide who they are or become a different person.
However, some masks are figurative. People can cover their emotions and true self with these masks. Have you ever tried to be something your not? Or have you ever tried to be exactly like a specific person? Well, when doing that you have put on a figurative mask. Concealing emotions is a very difficult thing, and sometimes putting on a mask seems easier. But in the end, being who you truly are is definitely the best choice.
Everyone has worn a mask, whether it be literal or figurative. Some masks are good, and some are bad. So I ask you, what mask will you put on next?
