My name is Samir. I am 12 years old and I love to fly. I have traveled all over the world to countries like Denmark, Great Britain, France, Germany and Italy. My older brother has taught me how to plan and book these vacations. It takes a lot of effort to travel overseas but in the end it is a lot of fun. I really like tracking airplanes in the air and learning what type of aircraft and airline it is.
This summer when my family and I visited Germany we went to visit Dachau which was one of the largest Nazi concentration camps. It was really heartbreaking to see how the Jews were treated while they were held captive. After Germany I spent the remainder of the summer with my older brother in Nashville, Tennessee. There I really enjoyed rock climbing, biking around the city, and swimming. I loved rock climbing the best and spent almost everyday doing it. My mom also learned how to belay me which allowed me to try the more challenging rock walls. It made me find and join a rock climbing gym here in Austin. It is awesome!
I also play the cello and have been playing since I was 8 years old. I have learned how to play through the Suzuki method and am currently in book 5. This method at first involved a lot of listening in order to build my sense of tone but now I can read music as well.
