It all started when I was little, I was watching a game and I was so mesmerized and captivated by the game. To watch the ball fly in the air and swish it in the hoop. To see the players celebrate and enjoy the game, and to root for my favorite team and players.
Ever since I have grown a bigger and bigger love for basketball, and I have such an extensive background on the sport and how it works. When I was 9 I really wanted to get good at basketball. So I started learning how to dribble, how to shoot the ball, and how to play defense. It was a hard process, I felt like giving up because I couldn’t even dribble the ball correctly. But despite it all I was determined to get better. I watched endless videos on how to dribble and shoot. Eventually I could actually do it! I was so happy for myself that I could do it.
Once I learned I wanted to try and play other people in a game. I was so determined to play that I begged and begged my parents. They said yes, so they took me to a court and I found people playing basketball. I asked them if I could play and they said yes!! I was so happy and I got to play my first game. I had so much fun too, granted I was still learning but it was an amazing experience that I will never forget.
Now today I am even better than before. I can perform crazy dribble moves and I have become better at shooting the ball. It was all thanks to you, I don’t know what I would do without you.
