I have just finished the book The Journey Back by Priscilla Cummings. The book starts in the Cliffside Detention Center where a troublemaker named Digger faces the consequence of a truly unpurposeful accident. In the very beginning of the book, you get a first impression to the way he treats other people ( not a very good one), but it is a good way to relate to who he really is a the end.
The plot of the book is about how Digger decides to run away and face the danger that awaits him. Using his great, and smelly, plan, he realizes the truth in the world. That the world is a lying, yet beautiful place. That lying is the glue that keeps us together.
While reading this book, I hope you remember that the things that we do, and the ways that we respond, are taught to us. Next time you commit a crime, think of a way to fix because it is never too late.
