Terminator 2

Over my three day weekend I got to watch two of the almost five Terminator movies. The first Terminator was good but the second was GREAT.

In case you’ve never seen or heard of the Terminator movies the main story is that robots take over the world by launching a nuclear attack leaving the Earth in ruins. The robots later develop Terminators to “terminate” the remaining human survivors. But the human’s leader, Jon Conner, is their one hope to stop the robots. The robots realize this ,so they send a Terminator back in time to “terminate” Jon Connor’s Mom (Sarah Connor). And that is the beginning of Terminator one summarized. I could go on ,and on about the WHOLE story, but that would be too long.

The plot was thicker (even though the movies been out for 24 years, I’m not gonna spoil anything). And the relationship between characters was a lot more meaningful. And how could I not mention Arnold Schwarzenegger (probably my favorite actor). And the famous line, “Hasta Lavista baby” which (fun fact) was estimated to be worth about $85,000! ( based on words in script to total pay).

The Terminator concept is also a really creative idea. Who thought up a robot that would go back in time to try and “terminate” other people to change the outcome of the future? That person is really creative.

Great job using multiple paragraphs! I have never seen any of the Terminator movies, but after reading your post, I may need to watch at least the first two!

Last summer, my husband and daughter thought it was high time I finally watched the Terminator series, so I reluctantly agreed to give the movies a try. I agree with you: the first one was good, but the second one was great. I especially loved the performance of young Jon.

I’d known all about the Terminator movies, of course, but I hadn’t actually seen them. It was fun to see for myself what all the talk was about!
