The Difference Between The iPhones 6S and SE

Apple just announced the smaller, budget-friendly iPhone SE. Switching gears from its larger phones, Apple’s going back to the popular 4-inch size with the new iPhone.

Just because it’s smaller doesn’t mean it’s weaker. The iPhone SE has the same 64-bit A9 chip and M9 motion co-processor as the iPhone 6S. It’s also got a 12-megapixel camera, TouchID and Apple Pay.

On these two phones a lot is the same except the size and weight. but here is a chart that will show you most of what you need to know:

So in conclusion the SE is cheaper than the other three phones above, but the battery life is lower than the 6 or the 6S, but you can just buy a $30 external battery and fix the battary problem.

The iPhone SE

Just know this: the iPhone SE isn’t ” The New iPhone.” That — the rumored iPhone 7– will come later on this year, with near certainty. This, the SE — Special Edition, Small Edition, whatever you want to call it — is really just an iPhone 6S Mini. That alone is actually an impressive achievement, and it’ s great that, finally, Apple has made all three phone sizes run equally well — you just get to choose between small (SE), medium (iPhone 6S) and large (6S Plus)

CNET Article

This is a phone that I’ve wanted for a long  time, the iPhone 6S in a 5S body.  But with it comes something, something big, something HUGE (#samelessdonaldtrumpjoke)  it’s actually a little bit better than the iPhone 6S these are some features in the iPhone SE. All of the bold stuff is an upgrade from the 6S.

  1. 4-inch 1136×640 (326 ppi) display
  2. 16GB or 64GB storage
  3. A9 processor
  4. 2GB RAM
  5. 12 megapixel rear camera, 4K video recording, Live Photos
  6. 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera, Retina Flash for dim lighting
  7. Touch ID
  8. Apple Pay
  9. M9 motion coprocessor for fitness tracking
  10. Always-on Siri
  11. 802.11ac Wi-Fi, LTE, Voice over LTE, Wi-Fi calling

So as you can see, a lot of new stuff. But still the same in the big picture just the iPhone 6S mini for the perple who don’t want a bigger screen.

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening BY ROBERT FROST

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

So this poem is about a man stopping in someones woods for a quick rest on the winter solstice. this might show the state of the writers mind at the time it was written, or it could have been winter when he wrote this poem.

Three Tourist Attractions in Austin

In Austin there are many tourist attractions. These three are only a fraction of the many tourist attractions in Austin.

barton springs diving board                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Creative Commons License Todd Dwyer via Compfight

Barton Springs-

If you ever want to cool of during the summer look no further than Barton Springs. The plane the depth is one to nine feet deep, the bottom of the pool is natural rock not cement, it makes you feel that you are at an actual lake, and the 71 degree water helps you cool of fast.

Texas Longhorn Flags                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Dave Wilson via Compfight

D.K.R Memorial Stadium-

After you cool of in Barton Springs, Go to a University of Texas football game at the D.K.R Memorial Stadium . The place where you’ll find a nice time cheering for the Texas Longhorns, booing the Baylor Bears, and eating the overpriced stadium food.

Alamo Drafthouse marquee                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Creative Commons License Bruce Turner via Compfight

Alamo Draft House-

After you watch the Longhorns beat the Bears, you can sit, watch a movie, and eat dinner at the Alamo Draft House. Watch a love story, action packed movie, or a comedy while eating a reasonably priced lunch and/or dinner.

Apple Pencil

Before the following technology quote I am probably the only tec geek who would actually write about this.

Your standard No. 2 pencil is made of wood, graphite, a little metal and bit of synthetic rubber. You can buy a whole box of them for a few dollars. The Apple Pencil costs $99, and for that price, it better be filled with pixie dust and unicorns. I decided to crack it open and find out.

Released alongside the iPad Pro, the Apple Pencil let’s you draw, take notes, mark up documents, annotate photos and do basically anything you can do with a traditional pencil. It’s also an excellent precision input device for the iPad Pro, and makes it easy to select small menu items or finely adjust app controls.

Ok, ok I ran out of ideas but with 30 minutes of battery life in only 15 seconds of charging this is a cool idea. So again no personal use on this pencil (Just hope that it works with our crap iPads) but seems like a cool thing to have for these reasons,

  1. No finger grease on the iPad after lunch
  2. makes writing easier on Home Room (if anything could)
  3. Easier to type (If Apple gets the keyboard thing that Samsung has in the new IOS)
  4. Easier to click on small links
  5. We could go to hand written essays on the iPad
  6. Easier to finely tune volume and brightness levels
  7. Easier to write this blog post on the iPad

You see what I mean. If we get an iPad COMPATIBLE (emphasis on compatible) with the Apple Pencil we, as a middle school and high school (let’s not have the elementary schools have them for purchase just another middle school perk) could have these for purchase (so we students would own them NOT THE SCHOOL.)

The Alamo Responce Paper

Ok I probliy failed this paper misibrilly but here it is.

Sam Houston was the best character because he liked to wait for the right moment to defeat the Mexicans and Santa Anna.

The Battle of San Jacinto was sad because the Texans masicered the Mexicans when they had no hope of winning or fighting.

Also Sam Houston’s speech and battle cry were awesome “REMEMBER THE ALAMO.” Santa Anna was a coward because he tried to flee the last battle because he didn’t want to face justice for all the crimes he has committed.

When Juan seguin went to Houston he refused to let him go back to the Alamo even though Jùan wanted to go back.

What I Want from the iPhone 7

It is during these earliest days of the product lifecycle, with the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus still in their relative youth, that the chatter concerning what shall come next is at its most fabulous. Since the day the new models first appeared in stores, Apple die-hards have been trawling the Internet in search of the rumors, leaks, and dubious pronouncements made by anonymous supply chain sources.

And yet Apple remains as tightlipped as ever on what the next generation holds. So, what else can one do? Predicting the future of the iPhone has become a full-time, year-round sport, and we present here a curated collection of the most intriguing gossip about Apple’s next big thing.
CNET Article

So what I want from the iPhone 7 is…

1. For it to be between the iPhone 5 & 6 in thickness and size

2. Wireless charging but still have the lightning USB charger

3. For it to be made out of steel, NOT soda cans (Aluminum)

4. For it to have Google Crome as its browser NOT safari

5. A side area where you can put the pause/play button for your music and/or your most used apps (kind of looking like this)

Concept by Michael Shanks

6. Or maybe like this (click link—-> Link <—–)

7. Multi tasking

8. Water proof.

9. (This is for the iOS but) More Ring Tones

I hope you have enjoyed this post.

Scout Camping trips in the Winter

Ahh.. Camping, the one time where you can be cold and miserable and possibly get hypothermia. I’m sorry did I say camping? I meant frozen hell.

Yes, the worst times of the season, freezing your toes being barely asleep in the cold (Personally I like summer camps better) barely keeping warm all day. O yea, did I mention the horrible Lost Pines Camp food?

And on this next wonderful winter misery, the average temperature will be about 40*F.

But luckily I will be able to escape thic misery because I will become ‘Verry ill’ after school today so I won’t get hypothermia and be verry miserable. Honestly I would be happier if we did all of our camping in the spring and summer 🙂

Which climate would you rather camp in?
